About Me

This is my about page. Apologies if it’s a little scatterbrained, I find it difficult to talk about myself.

Hello! My name is Liam, my main interests are art, writing and video games. I love talking about things I am passionate about but I feel too shy to do so most of the time. I was always afraid to express myself for some reason, so this website exists to help me do that.

Ever since I was about seven years old I’ve had this little world in my head that I keep building upon, with more characters and worldbuilding being added as I got older. All of my characters and stories are a part of the same universe.

Despite being a perfectionist when it comes to my own work, I really like things that are imperfect and aren’t trying to be super sleek and smooth. For example I really enjoy “bad” textures and lighting. A part of the reason why I enjoy 90s-00s PC games is that they encapsulate that vibe very well. I feel like the Alpha versions of Minecraft are a good example with its lack of smooth lighting and rudimentary textures.

As a kid I was a huge fan of Kirby, and I still am a fan of the series to this day. I like cutesy things a lot, but I also like more gritty stuff. Thief: The Dark Project and Metal Gear Solid are games I also enjoyed. I wasn’t allowed to play mature games as a kid, and I didn’t play many in my early teens either. I think it was only relatively recently have I gotten into playing more gritty games. I find the 1996-2004 era of video games to be really charming specifically. I also like surrealism and pretty much anything out of the ordinary.

As for my worldbuilding, I think it could be best described as “cute critters in serious situations”. A majority of my characters are anthropomorphic animals and living fruit/veggie creatures. I have a lot of factions, characters and locations that I have created, and they might get their own pages someday.
